Interior Design and Silk Flowers: A Natural Pairing
Our story began in gardens and among flowers, before growing into interior design. Bringing the garden and interior design together felt natural: both begin with an eye for form, colour and balance. Silk flowers allow us to create enduring arrangements that sit beautifully within an interior.
Bring flowers into your interior
Flowers can lift a room, bringing colour or a gentle contrast even to a pared-back home. With silk flowers, you can enjoy a wide choice of varieties and shades throughout the year, beyond the limits of the fresh-flower season. Their easy-care nature makes them a considered choice for many spaces.
Silk flowers can bring colour to rooms where living plants may not thrive, including hallways and bathrooms with little natural light. Choose flowers, a plant, a vase or a planter that speaks to the room’s palette and lines, and let the pieces come together as one.
Silk flowers and fresh flowers
Today’s silk flowers can be remarkably lifelike. At a Christmas market, visitors often mistook our bouquets for fresh flowers; we had to explain that they could be taken out into the cold because they were silk.

There is a wide difference in the quality of silk flowers. In better-made blooms, the colour, leaf detail and way the petals sit all feel more natural. Some have individual details or are finished by hand, while less considered flowers can appear more alike. Quality is often visible in the small details.
The beauty of fresh flowers
Fresh flowers have one quality silk flowers cannot offer: their fragrance. For a celebration, you can also combine the two. Garden flowers gathered in summer can sit alongside silk blooms in a bouquet or arrangement.

To experience the flowers in person, visit our Helsinki boutique at Uudenmaankatu 2. Our collection includes hundreds of silk flowers in a wide range of shades. We will be happy to help you find flowers for your home or celebration.
