Caring for your artificial flowers and plants

Artificial flowers need very little care. If dust begins to dull their colour, a gentle clean is usually all they need.

Removing dust

Gently dust flowers with a microfibre cloth or soft duster. You can also use a hairdryer on a cool, low setting. If you take them outdoors to clean, keep them out of direct sunlight: most flowers are not UV-protected and prolonged exposure may fade their colours. This does not apply to flowers and plants specifically made for outdoor use.

For Real Touch flowers, gently wipe dust or marks with a slightly damp microfibre cloth.

Storing your flowers

Keep artificial flowers in a closed box, away from dust. They will be ready to enjoy again without needing a clean.

A few helpful tips

If the stems are too long for your vase, trim them with wire cutters or gently bend them to the desired shape. A wire runs inside the stem, making it flexible. Artificial flowers are assembled by hand; if a flower or leaf comes loose, press it gently back into place or secure it with a small drop of glue.
